LEADERSHIP

Lubna Khilji

Managing Director of Love to Save Energy Limited

Lubna Khilji leads Love to Save Energy Limited, a Kenilworth-based company delivering energy efficiency and property improvement work. Since joining its board in September 2021, she has developed client and delivery partnerships, shaped new programmes and brought together the teams and specialist trades needed to improve homes. Her work connects the commercial decisions behind a project with the practical questions that determine whether it can be delivered well: the scope, the people, the schedule, the resident experience and the evidence at handover.

Leading a growing delivery business

As Managing Director, Lubna sets the company's commercial direction and works directly with clients to understand their requirements. She assesses new opportunities, agrees the scope and mobilisation approach with colleagues, and develops the capacity to undertake programmes across several measures and locations. She also works on the systems around delivery, including supplier selection, competency evidence, quality checks and clear communication with clients.

Her role is broad because the work is broad. A single home may need an assessment, insulation, heating or ventilation improvements, electrical work and repairs to finish the job properly. Lubna coordinates the business relationships and operational planning behind those services while qualified tradespeople and registered specialists undertake the technical work.

Energy efficiency work across homes and communities

Love to Save Energy's experience covers external and internal wall insulation, heating upgrades, ventilation, solar PV, electrical improvements and building fabric repairs. In Leicester and Loughborough, the business worked on external wall insulation, rendering, external repairs and electrical ventilation for E.ON's local authority delivery programme in 2020–21. These are the specific local authority areas identified in its project history; the work should not be read as a claim that the company contracted directly with either council.

The company has also delivered programmes with AgilityEco, now part of M Group. Its work across 2022–26 has included internal wall insulation and related plastering, plumbing, joinery and decoration; electric storage heating and electrical upgrades; solar PV and associated electrical work; air source heat pumps and central heating; and flat roofing, insulation, guttering and external repairs. These measures require careful sequencing in occupied homes, with making good and communication treated as part of the job.

Other relationships in the company's energy efficiency history include Anesco, through which Love to Save Energy delivered ECO-funded jobs, and Insta Group, for which the business undertook underfloor insulation, heating and associated home improvement work during 2019–22. The business has also worked with LD ECO on central heating installations and related gas work. The company works through its own team and appropriately qualified delivery partners according to the scope of each job.

Property improvements beyond retrofit

Lubna has extended the company's focus into wider property improvement work. Its portfolio includes kitchens, bathrooms, plastering, decoration, joinery, doors, windows and finished interiors, alongside surveys, repairs and the coordination of several trades. For clients responsible for housing stock, this can mean bringing a property back into use, completing planned improvements or addressing a collection of repair needs rather than treating each trade in isolation.

In September 2026, the company was preparing to mobilise on a London Borough of Ealing disrepair programme with Greyline. That work was at the planning and pre-start stage. Lubna's involvement included reviewing scope and rates, agreeing a realistic start date and bringing her contracts manager into the delivery discussions.

Standards and customer care

Lubna places emphasis on how work is organised and evidenced: surveying and scoping, scheduling the right trades, keeping residents informed where needed, checking finished work and providing photographs and handover records. Love to Save Energy has provided prospective clients with CHAS Elite, Constructionline Gold, TrustMark and ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification documents. A certification body confirmed PAS 2030 certification in April 2026. The company also received a Cyber Essentials certificate in October 2025.

Those are company credentials and apply within their particular scopes and dates. They support the team's work; they are not personal trade qualifications held by Lubna. Her contribution is to lead a business that can plan and deliver across different measures while being clear about the role of its specialist partners.

The next chapter

Lubna continues to develop Love to Save Energy's work in home energy efficiency, solar and property improvements. She is focused on durable client relationships, careful growth and delivery that residents and clients can understand from first survey to final handover. Her current work combines established retrofit experience with new opportunities in planned housing improvements and multi-trade programmes.
